Mary-Ellen is the Manchester chef, that through a WhatsApp group kicked started EatWell MCR. The idea was to provide the NHS with chef made meals from the spare food restaurants had during the first lockdown of 2020. Through hard work and a brilliant team, it took off. More and more chefs started to get involved and by the time the second lockdown happened, EatWell had delivered over 24,000 meals to the NHS and vulnerable people around the North West.
The EatWell MCR collective is still feeding the vulnerable and the team have developed an online market place. A totally unique store where you can buy chef made meal kits and an amazing selection of produce.
We came in to help tell the story of the chefs involved and focus the message on recruiting more. It was a special few days spending time with some very talented and highly motivated chefs. They all cook with passion and they all believe in what EatWell is trying to achieve.
